The
dinosaurs didn't have technology.
Men
do.
It
is better to be prepared for the unexpected, then to be helpless like
a sitting duck.
I
am all for protecting the planet fROm asteroids.
And...
aliens.

Immortality
is
an idea with a future after all.
Life
on the Earth will be preserved.
But
who will be around to revive the dead if there is nobody left?
Oh,
that's right...
Robots!

Are We Approaching the End of Human History?
September
9, 2014
I
am always skeptical when I read or hear someone pronouncing and
predicting the end of the world or of the human race.
This
is a pessimistic position.
O Speak
for yourselves, YE doomsayers!
I
am on the side of human history and hope.
William
Faulkner said it well:
I decline to accept the end of man. It is easy enough to say that man is immortal simply because he will endure: that when the last dingdong of doom has clanged and faded from the last worthless rock hanging tideless in the last red and dying evening, that even then there will still be one more sound: that of his puny inexhaustible voice, still talking.
I believe that man will not merely endure: he will prevail. He is immortal, not because he alone among creatures has an inexhaustible voice, but because he has a soul, a spirit capable of compassion and sacrifice and endurance. The poet’s, the writer’s, duty is to write about these things.
We
must remember to hope when there is no hope.
We
MUST embrace the light within when there is so much
darkness without.
IT'S
ABOUT RENEWABLE RESOURCES!
