BUSH WANTS TO MOVE HEAVEN & EARTH...AGAIN!

“Had I had any inkling whatsoever that people were going to fly airplanes into buildings, we would have moved heaven and earth to protect the country. Just like we’re working to prevent further attacks.”
George W. Bush
April 14, 2004

"Not an hour goes by that we do not spend a lot of time thinking about the people who are actively suffering. The United States, as the president has said, is going to move heaven and earth to rescue, feed, shelter" victims of the storm.

Michael Chertoff
Director of Homeland Security
September 3, 2005

Homeland Security secretary Chertoff is now Bush's ace cheerleader.
Chertoff said that he and Bush & Co ("we") think about the suffering people in New Orleans constantly.
This has the same ring of Bush's refrain: "I think about Iraq every day."
Not only are Bush & Co thinking a lot, but the president, in the words of Chertoff, "is going to move heaven and earth to rescue, feed, shelter" victims of the storm.
This president must have powers from out of this world.
He is a supernatural president.
Too bad he didn't use those powers to respond more swiftly to the tragedy in New Orleans.
Too bad he doesn't use those powers to bring the troops home from his lying war.
I think about Iraq every day, too, Mr. Bush.
I think about you, the Commander-in-Chief, who caused the bloody and blundering quagmire in Iraq.
I do not believe you or Mr. Chertoff.
And leave heaven and earth alone.
You have moved them quite enough, already, thank you!

Yes, this whole situation has been quite horrible -- especially from the politician's point of view -- not to mention many of the relief agencies. Interesting blog. Keep up the good work. I had a similar posting a few days ago to what you've been discussing. You might consider checking it out.
