WHAT A DISGRACE UNDER GOD

While the White House and Downing Street still refuse to use the phrase ‘civil war’ Iraqis in the centre of the country have no doubt what is happening. Baghdad mortuary alone received 1,595 bodies in June.

Sweden evacuated 2,300 of its citizens the next day after bombing began in Lebanon.
Déjà vu Katrina: the Bush administration has taken one week.
But the Long War President, Mr. Compassionate Conservative, and the anti-minimum wage and greedy Congress, finally did decide that they would not charge Americans to pay for their tickets out of Lebanon.
What a disgrace.
The U.S. House of Representatives is now voting on a resolution (HR 2389) that would prevent federal judges from challenging the phrase “under God” and ruling that it is unconstitutional.
The U.S. House was also discussing an increase in the minimum wage.
The Long War Prevaricator (Decider) President still gets billions for his Iraq War (and Congress kisses his prevaricating backside), but shun an increase in the minimum wage of the citizens who pay for his horrendous war.
But if Republicans and this Long War President want to really pay attention to the voice of the people, and pledge allegiance to the United States of America (UNDER GOD!), then they should give their attention to withdrawing from the Iraq War, increase assistance to victims of the Katrina catastrophe, and intervene more actively for a ceasefire in the Middle East crisis.
Instead, Republicans devote their (highly paid) time to issues such as flag-burning, Gay marriage, the Pledge of Allegiance.
What a disgrace.
