BUDDHA AND THE BABBLER

"What is your message to us?"

The Dalai Lama answered:

"Compassion."

"Peace starts within each one of us."

Dalai Lama

“The fuel for a fire is in place. All we need is a spark. The danger is that we have created conditions that could lead to a greater Middle East war.”

Sam Gardiner

Retired U.S. Air Force colonel

On the dangers of a pre-emptive strike on Iran

“The Iranian regime needs to know that if it stays on its present course, the international community is prepared to impose serious consequences.”

Vice President Dick Cheney

October 21, 2007

“World War III, as postulated by Dick Cheney, would be an elective war, and not a conflict of tragic necessity. This makes the crime even greater.”

Scott Ritter

October 22, 2007

“The stakes regarding Iran have always been high, but never more so than when a nation's leader invokes the end of days as a solution.”

Scott Ritter

One might hope that a little bit of Buddha rubbed off on the Babbling Bush as the Babbler sat next to the Dalai Lama.

Bush will probably need to wait for a new incarnation in order to become anything like a bodhisattva.

The do no harm beliefs of Buddha have never belonged to Bombastic Bush.

155 executions in Texas without one commutation is not

Buddha-like.

One million deaths (and counting) and billions and billions and billions of dollars (and counting) for freedom and democracy in Iraq is not

Buddha-like.

Thousands and thousands of deaths, head injuries and severed limbs of American soldiers is not

Buddha-like.

But Bush the Babbling Decider does not want to be like Buddha.

The Babbling Long War Decider President can't be a Pre-Emptive Bomber and Buddha at the same time.

IT'S THE OIL STUPID!
