THE POPE AND A DOPE

War is a defeat for humanity.

George W. Bush: Welcome to America, Mr. Pope.
Pope Benedict XVI: Thank you Mr. President.
GWB: I hope you won't talk too much about my war in Iraq.
PBXVI: We'll see. I can't just stick my head in the sand and ignore it.
GWB: Well, maybe just stick your eyes under the sand.
PBXVI: We'll see.
GWB: Mr. Pope, what's God been telling you lately?
PBXVI: My communion with God is a private affair.
GWB: Not me. I had to tell the whole world that God told me to bomb Saddam.
PBXVI: Yes, I read about that.
GWB: Well, I guess it's about time for lunch.
PBXVI: Good. I'm as hungry as a horse.
