Lieberry or Lyeberry?
Is this where there are berries of lye or where berries lie?
Neither.
I continue to hear many people pronounce this word as if it contained berries.
It has no berries.
Bury the thought.
Better yet...start practicing the correct pronunciation of this word.
Drop the berry sound.
Get rid of the berries.
Say:
Brrrr...air...ee...
Brrr...air...ee...
Lie-brair-ee.
