SUGAR DADDIES AND THE MINIMUM WAGE

The minimum wage is too low.
The American family deserves more.
NOW.
But forget it.
The Congress has all of their many lobbied interests and don’t want to offend their sugar daddies.
This doesn’t prevent the Congress from helping themselves to the hard-earned minimum wages of workers.
No Siree, if they want a damn raise, they’ll damn well give it to themselves.
Damn the American workers!
If hard-working Americans want to have more money, excellent health care, and a guaranteed retirement package, they should become parasitic and greedy members of the U.S. Congress.
Shut up, already.
You’re making as much as you’re going to get.
Keep working those second and third jobs.
You can do it.
Quit complaining and keep licking our boots!

Lou Dobbs wrote:

“With no Congressional action on raising the minimum wage since 1997, inflation has eroded wages. The minimum wage in the 21st century is $2 lower in real dollars than it was four decades ago and now stands at its lowest level since 1955, according to the Economic Policy Institute and Center on Budget and Policy Priorities.”
“This administration, our Republican-led Congress and the dominant corporate interests in this country want cheap labor. And to achieve that goal they're outsourcing middle-class jobs, importing illegal labor and cutting retirement and health-care benefits.”

Also this:
Despite record low approval ratings, House lawmakers Tuesday embraced a $3,300 pay raise that will increase their salaries to $168,500.
This year, Vice President Dick Cheney, House Speaker Dennis Hastert and Chief Justice John Roberts receive $212,100. Associate justices receive $203,000. House and Senate party leaders get $183,500.
President Bush's salary of $400,000 is unaffected by the legislation.
